My practice develops through research-led projects in which data, observation and documented events are translated into visual and material forms.
The projects bring together painting, cyanotype, printmaking, drawing and installation. While each begins from a specific subject, recurring concerns include time, memory, repetition, environmental change, disappearance and the relationship between individual experience and collective events.
FEATURED / CURRENT PROJECTS
2026
In punta di piedi
In punta di piedi explores the disappearance of endangered birds across Europe and the Mediterranean. Beginning with documented data on threatened species, the project considers extinction not simply as a statistical phenomenon but as an accumulation of individual absences.
2024-ONGOING
Waterscapes
Each work is a unique cyanotype created with the collaboration of different sources of water from a specific location. The resulting image records the particular encounter between that water, natural light, the surrounding environment and the moment of making.
2024-2025
The World Weather’s Diary
Participatory cyanotype project, postcards, installation
World’s Weather Diary is an international participatory project that records the weather experienced by participants in different parts of the world on the same day. Through cyanotype postcards, individual observations are transformed into a collective visual archive.
The project explores climate, place, memory and collective observation, turning ephemeral weather conditions into physical traces.
EARLIER PROJECTS
2023-2025
Greetings from Munich
Oil on canvas
Greetings from Munich developed from a series of paintings made in Munich’s Neuhausen-Nymphenburg district. The paintings examine the relationship between place, memory and history. Familiar streets and buildings become sites through which different layers of time coexist: the contemporary city, personal experience and traces of historical events.
The project continues my interest in the tension between what is visible and what remains hidden within a place.
2024
The Weather’s Diary
Cyanotype, melted ice, pencil
The Weather’s Diary is a year-long visual record of weather conditions in Verona. Across 102 days, identical cyanotype papers and melting heart-shaped ice cubes were exposed on my balcony, allowing water, light and changing atmospheric conditions to leave a unique trace. Together, the images form a diary of time, place and weather.
2023
Melting Flora
Cyanotype, ice sculptures of endangered Alpine plants
Melting Flora uses endangered Alpine plants as both subject and material. Botanical forms are created using aerial water collected from an air-conditioning system and transferred onto cyanotype paper, creating fragile images that evoke disappearance, climate change and the vulnerability of ecosystems.
Endangered Species
Cyanotype, leaves, botanical paper
Endangered Species is an imaginary herbarium composed of 130 leaves collected across Europe. Cyanotype transfers of digitally modified images of fossil plants and the names of extinct or endangered species are layered onto anonymous botanical specimens, creating a collection in which identities, traces and scientific records overlap.
Palestinian Children
Painting, embroidery, beads embroidery
Palestinian Children translates documented statistics into a visual form, representing the number of Palestinian children killed by Israeli forces between 2000 and 2021, alongside Israeli and foreign children killed during the same period. This body of works bring numerical records into the physical space of each artworks, inviting reflection on the human lives behind the figures.
2021
CHIEDEvano
Mokhuanga prints, cork panels, pins
CHIEDEvano is a series of twelve mokuhanga prints addressing violence against women and feminicide. Based on documented reports and statistics, each print represents a request for help and is subsequently subjected to a different form of destruction, reflecting the fragility and vulnerability of women who seek protection.
